Hidden Gem for Ipoh White Coffee and Pastries in Kepong

Yitcha Kawkaw Kopitiam @Kepong Rimbunan 壹茶浓浓咖啡店 is a beloved destination for those seeking genuine Ipoh white coffee and freshly baked delights in Kuala Lumpur. This charming establishment channels the nostalgic vibe of an old-school Hong Kong café, where the aroma of bakery treats welcomes you from the moment you arrive.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the creamy, powerful white coffee, earning praise for its smooth and fragrant profile. Fans of traditional baked goods will enjoy the crispy kaya puff filled with pandan kaya and the perfectly textured butter toast drizzled with condensed milk. Beyond coffee and pastries, the kopitiam offers satisfying dishes such as firm Hakka noodles with well-balanced gravy and flavorful dry curry noodles made with authentic Ipoh mee.

With a cozy atmosphere and excellent customer service, including attentive staff who ensure the taste meets expectations, this spot is a true Kepong hidden gem. Reasonably priced and comfortably inviting, Yitcha Kawkaw Kopitiam is ideal for a quick snack or a relaxing break from the bustle of the city.

The butter kaya toast is mediocre. Has little kaya and butter. Bread is not tasty. Egg tart and siew bao also tasteless. The worst is char siew bun. Filling is almost non existent. The cham is fine. It’s smooth and quite aromatic.

Love the kaisee horfun here, which is one of their signature items. Also tried the fried meehoon with ayam goreng berempah which is juicy and tender. A must try is their gotcha kawkaw kopi.
