Authentic East Coast Flavors at Warung Ambo Laman Glenmarie
Warung Ambo Laman Glenmarie serves up genuine Kelantanese dishes that transport diners straight to the east coast of Malaysia. Located in Shah Alam, this bustling restaurant is famed for its lemak bakar, nasi kerabu, and ayam percik, all of which burst with fresh, vibrant flavors. The popularity of these dishes often leads to long queues, a testament to their quality and the loyal following they’ve built.
Beyond the main attractions, the wide variety of side dishes and generous portions make it a favorite for those seeking a hearty, authentic Malaysian meal. Early arrival is recommended to avoid the crowd, but the wait is well worth it for the rich taste and reasonable prices. Warung Ambo is a go-to for those wanting a true taste of East Coast cuisine in a welcoming setting.

a week agoFinally came here after seeing so many recommendations for the best nasi kerabu. The fried nasi kerabu was really good! But the chicken with fat weren’t as good though. When I ate it, the grilled chicken was cold and a little hard. It didn’t taste very good, like plain. The grilled fat was the saddest because many people got the hard and hard ones. I kind of expected it to melt in your mouth because it had fat. But sadly, no. Spent RM19 for this nasi and couldn’t finish the dishes. Bought nasi dagang for my son, at that time the rice was a tad dry. But the pulut dakap was bomb! I’m sorry I only had two. After this, if I came, it would probably be for their pulut dakap! The shop is spacious, comfortable. There are so many crazy menu options that I wished I could try everything but only two people came. Parking is easy, just in front of the shop. Plenty.
