Visited this place after 10 years. Still the same place. Ordered their hokkien mee and fish balls soup. Hokkien mee was okay. Fish balls were soft, not the bouncy type and it taste fishy including the soup that was served in it. Parking is difficult, have to park further behind at housing estate.

It is so rare to find a restaurant where the food tastes exactly the same as it did three decades ago. I’m so grateful this place still exists and that the quality of their comfort food hasn't slipped one bit. For a spot to survive for over a hundred years, especially with the parking challenges it has, proves that the food is, and always has been, the star of the show. It’s disappointing to see negative comments about the service style or the cost. This is straightforward, delicious comfort food—something that’s becoming a lost art. If you’re looking for a stuffy, formal affair, this isn't it. And if the prices are an issue, then maybe this level of quality isn't for you. You don’t have to eat here. For those of us who appreciate a good, honest meal, it’s a perfect place.
