Red neon lights. Hipster tunes. Minimalist interior. Abstract art. Bao and coffee? So random.

Now, I’m going to be real frank here… I didn’t quite like the clashing concept. Here’s why.
The red neon litted entrance gave off bar vibes (instead of welcoming food vibes). Plus, there were no windows, hence there’s no way for curious passerbys to peep in. Despite the menu being displayed at the entrance, confusion would be unavoidable (think: family with kids). If this was an entrance to a real bar, I would be stoked.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the seating arrangements too. The stone-cold communal table (the one and only) didn’t permit much privacy, and echos are apparent too. Tip: Sit next to each other and not opposite of each other.
I really liked the hipster music playing at the background however.
Overall, I found the entire concept very confusing (and clearly random). Personal preference nevertheless.
Let me now move on to the food.
I sampled 3 of the 4 baos offered in the menu – Wagyu Bao (RM19), Chicken Roast Duck (RM9) and Star Fruit Smoked Paprika Chicken (RM9). The Mango Ice Cream Bao (RM9) was sadly not available that evening.
It’s difficult for me to pick which I liked best – I enjoyed every single bite.
The bao had great textures – fluffy and with just the right amount of chew. The wagyu was nicely done; the roast duck was savory yet enjoyable; the praprika chicken was fiery but addictive.
For drinks, I had Kaffir Lime Lemonade (RM10) and my friend had Chocolate (RM12).
Overall Rating: 7/10. Love the baos but not a fan of the cafe settings.
