Marina Bay Sands’ Epicurean Market is now into its fifth year and the 2017 edition features three days of culinary festivities to whet your appetite. Today is the last day of the event so it’s still not too late to make your way to the Sands Expo and Convention Centre now for a delicious epicurean journey.

You can expect to sample famous signature dishes by celebrity chefs, taste award-winning vintages and one-of-a-kind cocktails, and get great deals on imported specialties to take home with you.
The food & wine festival Epicurean Market kicked off on 11th August morning with special guest appearances by renowned chefs Tetsuya Wakuda of Waku Ghin, Nancy Silverton of Mozza, David Myers of Adrift, John Kunkel of The Bird Southern Table & Bar, Ralph Scamardella of LAVO, David Thompson of Long Chim and Hide Yamamoto of Takumi Yamamoto.
Together with Christine Kaelbel-Sheares, Vice President of F&B at Marina Bay Sands, and Sean Newman, Executive Director of F&B at Marina Bay Sands, the group toasted (with teh tarik) to the opening of the integrated resort’s hallmark culinary festival.

Epicurean Market 2017 features more than 70 participants – including 2-Michelin star Waku Ghin and 1-star CUT. The festival will also entertain guests with 40 exciting masterclasses, tasting sessions from the Connoisseur Series, bespoke cocktails at the World Class Bar, over 200 signature dishes, hundreds of wines and gourmet products to sample and buy at the Farmer’s Market.
The inaugural Singapore Street Food experience will present local dishses presented by the newly refreshed RISE Restaurant, Marina Bay Sands’ international buffet restaurant. Together with Kampung Bar, guests can also discover innovative hawker fare inspired cocktails infused with spices such as Singleton Mile Peng, ABC One and Kaya Sour. Not to forget, a sneak preview of LAVO’s fine Italian cuisine before it is set to open at Sands SkyPark.

And here are some of the food I had at the fair. Needless to say they were fantastic and my favorites were LAVO’s Meatball with Ricatto, ADRIFT’s live Hokkaido scallop, db Bistro & Oyster Bar’s Lobster Roll, Waku Ghin’s Ohmi Wagyu Roll with Fresh Wasabi, Grilled Cheese from Mozza 2 Go, Maryland Blue Crab Cakes by CUT and Mama’s Chicken Biscuits from The Bird Southern Table & Bar.
For desserts, you won’t go wrong with Patisserie Platine and I highly recommend their Ghin Cheesecake and Coconut Mousse with Passion Fruit & Mango.
