Choose the right food at Right 4u Cafe, Petaling Jaya
7 January 2007 - 8:50am - fried-tomatoThis restaurant is kinda special, you might wondering why i titled it as "Choose the right food at Right 4u Cafe". I believe many people could not make up their minds when it comes to food ordering, at there you will not have the problem because you can let your blood type decide your food.
According to research by Dr. Peter D'Adamo, he said this in his book, the New York Times best-seller Eat Right 4 Your Type. "Follow a diet that’s designed specifically for your blood group and you’ll lose weight, feel healthier and lower your risk of many diseases." sound cool huh? but others also have a different view
Hakka Food at Hakka Recipe Restaurant
30 December 2006 - 10:41pm - fried-tomatoLet start with the history of Hakka, before we talk about the nice Hakka food. Hakka people are migratory tribes of ethnic Han people originated from central. There is a mistaken view that Hakka cuisine is pragmatic and based on preserved foods. Hakka cuisine concentrates on the texture of food - the hallmark of Hakka cuisine. At here, they have a very nice seating and a very cosy surroundings.

The signature dish at Hakka Recipe Restaurant, "yong tau fu" 釀豆腐 (stuffed tofu cube) for this size it is only cost 80sen each. (ps, there are two tau fu in that) The tofu cube was heaped with minced meat and braised with soup and some places they deep fried it till golden brown.
Taiwanese food at Restoran Neighbourhood, Damansara Perdana
20 December 2006 - 6:50am - fried-tomato
I believe a lot of Malaysian got influenced by Taiwanese Variety show that is bombing Malaysia television programme so if you plan to try some Taiwanese food, you might want to drop by to this restaurant. The lady boss of this restaurant is a Taiwanese, so i think at here you are able to try out pretty original Taiwanese food.

This is the "lu roh fan" 魯肉飯 (minced fatty pork served on rice) i ordered and this is a very typical Taiwanese dishes. I have not eaten this before, so i can't compare but what i feel is the taste does not really suit the ordinary Malaysian Chinese tastes bud. We are in a multi race community so we somehow would prefer spicy food. (just like what i am, a curry lover)
A very Satisfying Seafood Curry Noodles at SS2, Petaling Jaya
2 December 2006 - 4:36pm - fried-tomato
Attention to curry lovers or seafood fans, restaurant yu ai at SS2, petaling jaya will be your definite choice. This was my second visit, and everytime after the meal I will have a very satisfying feeling. Myself is a curry lover, so if you are someone like me too, then i think you will appreciate this. The price for this is RM13.00 (curry noodles, small) which may sound a bit ridiculous for some people (for my first time too) but as you "explore" further you will see more seafood inside this thick curry. The picture below shown how it look when the curry noodles served, and the picture above highlight the size of the prawn you get.

The curry seafood noodles comes with 3 large prawns, fish fillets, clams, dried oysters and the must have for curry: tofu chunks. For people who have a sensitivite stomach or non-spicy food taker then the seafood "qing tong" (soup) noodles will be your choice, for me that is the biggest lost but at least you still get the seafood enjoyment. For something more economical, then go for the soup noodles (without seafood) for around RM5 with fish balls and crab sticks. By the way, when you entered the restaurant you will see a writing "NO PORK SERVED" on your right, I think we will need our muslim friends to comment on this.
Life's Passions to share at Passion Cafe, Damansara Perdana
2 November 2006 - 1:32am - fried-tomato
Yesterday, i went to Passion Cafe at Damansara Perdana to have my lunch. This is the place that i wanted to share for long, this will be my third times there. This was the Cajun Chicken (RM12.90) i ordered. Even though it looks quite small portion at the first sight but it is kinda filling after all.
