Dessert
Ipoh Pengkalan Pasar Malam Part II
16 January 2007 - 8:04pm - fishballI introduced what food we have in Ipoh pengkalan pasar malam (night market) in my part I blog. In part II, I will write about the desserts as I promised. Since most of the time people go to pasar malam for dessert, so now I emphasize more on some special desserts in pengkalan pasar malam.
The picture above depicts a special Taiwanese dessert with the name "snowy", in Chinese we call it as 雪花冰. As you can see in the picture, the "snow" is actually not in white color, it is yellowish in stead. According to the stall owner, the snow is made up of Valina and just because of that, it is sweet. Beside that, there are many flavors for you to choose.
Ipoh Mah Chee and Peanut paste
3 December 2006 - 7:07am - fishball"Mah Chee" (cantonese) is also one of the local food in Ipoh. I am not sure I can find any Mah Chee in other part of Malaysia but this stall is always be my favorite one in Ipoh. (Hmmm... is this the only stall in Malaysia? HeHe, I am not so sure:P).

The Hong Kee Mah Chee is owned by this couple. They were very friendly when I requested for the photo taking. See her smiling face!~

Since I am a strawberry lover and i tried many other strawberry ice-cream before, I think this Nestle ice-cream is the best among others. There are other flavor also including chocolate for the same series .
Their pink color packaging is very attractive to all the strawberry lover. I think girls particular love it. I think it should be a good gift for your girl friend if she is in a bad mood. I personally will get happy after getting this ice-cream.

Smooth and milky strawberry flavor ice-cream surrounded by chocolate chips. Best combination!~
