Pizzolo was strangely quiet that afternoon. In fact, I reckoned we were the only occupied table throughout two dining hours we were there. In any case, we were free to choose whichever table we wanted and I indecisively picked one closest to the entrance. I guess I was just curious to see if anyone else walked through those doors.
Our meal kick-started with a serving of Bruschetta Trio (Rm13) – baguettes topped with diced mushroom, salmon and tomato cubes. The Crispy Chicken Roulade Stuffed With Mushrooms (Rm32) looked fantastic, tasted pleasant, though sadly forgettable to some extend. No surprises on the Beef Stroganoff Linguine (Rm28) also. The strips of beef were flavorsome and had stew-like textures. Good – but nothing to shout about.I seriously wouldn’t mind having this Mushroom And Truffle With Grana Padano Cheese Pizza (Rm28) all on my own. Oh yes, I’m greedy like that. The truffle added a nice aroma and aftertaste to the pizza and the cheese tasted deceptively rich, but the best part of it all – the addictive crisp crust. You have to try this!
Overall Rating: 7.5/10. Despite the lack of crowd that afternoon, my meal at Pizzolo was satisfying overall. If there’s one dish that I would definitely come back for, it would be the Mushroom and Truffle with Grana Padano Cheese Pizza.
