Believe me when I say that travelling partners are crucial, when it comes to the success of a trip.
Me, JM and CL have known each other for more than a decade. Despite spending much of our childhood years together, we have never gotten around to travelling as a trio. This trip was our first. Needless to say, it was a great weekend of genuine camaraderie and plenty of eats to add. I’m sure it would not be our last.
This was also my first time visiting Johor Bahru.
If you’re looking for Places To Visit in Johor Bahru or Places To Eat in Johor Bahru, the list below may come useful. Mentioned in this writeup – in chronological order of visit:
Restoran Ya Wang | Erika Hotel | Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple | Faculty Of Caffeine | Bev C | KSL City Mall | Ikan Bakar Tampin | Dessert Library | WW Laksa House | Roost Recycled & Repurposed Cafe | Otak Otak | Johor Premium Outlet
The last leg our JB journey was to drop by Johor Premium Outlets (Indahpura, Kulai, Johor Bahru) on our way home. An accidental wrong turn took us 50km away, taking us close to 45-minutes to reach the outlet, for what was supposed to be a 5-10 minute drive.
We stayed at the outlet for the next few hours, mostly just window shopping then had dinner. It was about nightfall before we began our journey home.
Our journey was an extended 6-hour drive back into the city.
An unanticipated standstill halted our journey for close to an hour.
My girlfriends – were really life saviors. Seriously. One took over the wheel for about an hour, before passing it back to the other, who then battled the roads like a warrior – yes warrior – driving all of us back home safely.
I, on the other hand, was clearly the useless one who kept on dozing on and off throughout the entire ride home.
