It’s either Malaysian’s dire love for Japanese cuisine, or, I unpretentiously ordered all the wrong dishes – the food I had in MOF really wasn’t that great.
What’s with my unlucky streak of food adventures nowadays?
Notwithstanding – not all reviews in this blog are positive reviews. I would love to share wonderful and amazing food with the masses, but unfortunately – that’s not always the case; not all that I’ve stumbled upon are worthy of praise. You would have to read the entire blog post to find out.
Nevertheless, the search for awesome food goes on.
The teriyaki chicken on the other hand was quite delicious. Glazed with a layer of sweet teriyaki sauce – I had fun poking at these little chunks of tender chicken thigh, and grabbing the whole lots of seaweed on my very first bite.
Tako Age. Rm12.80.
For me, this was like another one of those microwaved outcome. It tasted quite fine, really – just that it’s texture felt artificial, like it came out of a frozen bag.
When I was flipping through the menu, this caught my eye. But I was dying for my daily hound of caffeine, so I ordered this – and the cappuccino below.
A fantastic combination of macha ice cream and whipped cream with a shot of espresso. Definitely more dessert-ish than coffee-ish.
The cappuccino was merely there – but still drinkable I guess.
Espresso Frappe. Rm11.00.
The espresso frappe wasn’t that great too – the coffee wasn’t blended well.
Meant to be shared, a pot of tea poured over dainty little cups.

Overall Rating: 6/10. I’ve heard quite a few things prior to visiting – about the inconsistent service and the rather modest experiences. In my case, the servers delivered wrong orders to our table twice. Withal, the food I sampled wasn’t that great, but I figured the desserts are still worthy of a go. Stick to the desserts!
