I believe a lot of Malaysian got influenced by Taiwanese Variety show that is bombing Malaysia television programme so if you plan to try some Taiwanese food, you might want to drop by to this restaurant. The lady boss of this restaurant is a Taiwanese, so i think at here you are able to try out pretty original Taiwanese food.
This is the "lu roh fan" 魯肉飯 (minced fatty pork served on rice) i ordered and this is a very typical Taiwanese dishes. I have not eaten this before, so i can't compare but what i feel is the taste does not really suit the ordinary Malaysian Chinese tastes bud. We are in a multi race community so we somehow would prefer spicy food. (just like what i am, a curry lover)
This is what my colleague ordered, the chicken chop rice which is also another Taiwanese food. The Taiwan chicken chop wasn't something new in Malaysia, if you do go night market in Malaysia you will see a lot people selling this "Taiwan boneless fried chicken chop" I tried one piece of these, it is good but my this handsome colleague just could not finish the veggies you see there as he complaints it is too sour! which i agree to a extend but that's the appetizer. Haha
This is the snack that we ordered, i am not sure what it called in english and whether it is origin from Taiwan as it is not mentioned in Wikipedia under the Taiwanese Cuisine tag. It is called "wo tiek" in mandarin, to us the "skin" too thick compared to our local nosh, "Wan Tan". When i asked my sister who just came back from Taiwan, she said the same. Give it a try and comment on it.
In case, you want to know how the place is. Here are few pictures of it.
Shop while you dine in pretty cool concept. It is by the same owner, we did not shop (just could not imagine how it is like when two guys shop for women clothes) so no comment on the clothes.
