Clay Pot Loh Shu Fun at Mama Kitchen Restaurant, TTDI

The Mama Kitchen was known by their Clay Pot Loh Shu Fun. It was first at Jalan Sultan by the name Seng Kee but later her daugther, Helen Long decided to expand the business by adding another branch in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. If you cannot read chinese, the sentence in red (see picture below) reads "The Well-Known Clay Pot Loh Shu Fun at Jalan Sultan". The direct translate of Loh Shu Fun would be "Rat Noodles" and i think the reason is because of the noodles look like rat tail. (round with pointed ends)

Normally chinese food is served cooked, but not to be surprised by the raw egg they served. See for yourself at the amount of minced meat (pork) you get for this big Clay Pot Loh Shu Fun priced at RM 10. This is the best Clay Pot Loh Shu Fun I tasted so far, if you know any that is more better don't forget to let me know. (use the comment)

Below is the KangKung Belacan that we ordered to feed eight people at the price of RM 12. KangKung is a semi-aquatic tropical plant that commonly grown in east and southeast asia like Malaysia and Belacan a malay variety of shrimp paste, which is prepared from fresh tiny shrimp. This is good when eating together with the Clay Pot Loh Shu Fun but they should have added more belacans and chilis in the KangKung Belacan.

Their next specialty is the Konlo (dry) wantan noodles with garlic roast pork which I think average only. Not a great fan of it because I don't like their wantan noodles plus it is a bit oily to me.

I think the wantan noodle looks good

I can feel hungry by only looking at the photos. There were really lots of minced meat, I like minced meat so much. Besides, I think the wantan noodle also looks good. I am sure I will try it soon, maybe this weeked? Haha!~

Yes, that is a lots of minced meat

I have not seen so much of minced meat in my meal before. Are you sure you going to try the Wantan Noodles? i thought girls will avoid oily food. Haha ;p

I am special

Yes...Not all girls avoid oily food but I think all girls like to eat good foods. Am i right?(to all the girls)

I've tried both

I'ver tried both the loh shu fun and wantan mee. Yeah, the loh shu fun is nice, but not the wantan mee, I find it too oily and salty. If its sauce is drier, then it'll be alot better. ;-)

Oh man, you actually tried this

coolfire, Then how do find it compare to the clay pot loh shu fun that you had just blog recently? So do you still know any places that has good loh shu fun? Well, the wantan noodles i think the problem was because of the noodles itself and the sauce but some people do find it nice.

ss2 Murni & Wei Sek Kai

So far teh best i had tried were those sold at ss2 Murni and also ss2 wei sek kai. But i strongly recommend Murni's one for those who can take in spicy chilis. Those special made chilis together with the hot loh shu fun, haha simply breath-taking ..

Where is ss2 Murni ?

Sound familiar, it is a mamak stall? Any landmark? I believe the wek sek kai in ss2 is the one in the middle of all the shop lot yeah? .
